Job Description MUST HAVE DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Generate and provide content that encourages users to regularly access the website and utilize it as a major source for information and decision-making. Manage and perform website editorial activities including gathering and researching information that enhances the value of the website. Locate, determine suitability of, and pursue content. Seek out customers to gather feedback for website improvement and enhancements. Architect, design, and develop the internal and external web pages. Set up and update Web page entries, update contributors on web page submission standards and requirements, and provide page maintenance including removal of stale pages and detection and elimination of faulty Uniform Resource Locator (URL) links. Utilize HyperText Markup Language (HTML), Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), .NET, SharePoint 2010, VBscript, and JavaScript to refine and improve web pages. Provide scripting and alternative page delivery skills as well as proficiency with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Flash, and other audio and video web production tools to ensure compliance with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 is required. Develop enhancements and additional capabilities to the existing Web processes and data to support all functional areas of the web community areas such as: Service Cost Centers, Business Operations, and Quality Assurance. The Contractor shall provide customer training and programming support as needed. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Three years of web site content development and administration Skills: SharePoint Designer and Site Collection Administrator Certification, JavaScript, HTML, Web Services, Web Publishing, Web Design Principles, SharePoint development using SharePoint Object Model (2007 or 2010), proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (esp. Word and Excel), proficient with HTML editing, working knowledge of Integrated Development Environment (IDEs) and experience in production management, web page design, HTML, and web graphics types and standards EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: High School graduate and 3+ years of software/web development and programming CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: DoD 8570.01-M Baseline IA certification and IT certifications, or Navy approved IT training, for IT Level I, IAT Level II, Company Description GeoWireless, Incorporated is headquartered in Charleston, South Carolina with offices in Tennessee, Virginia, Arizona, Hawaii, Florida and Maryland.
